It was autumn, early November, and the wind swept through the whole town. It lay by a river, the moon was almost full, the sky was beautiful, and the town placed great value on art. It had several historical sights and so many art galleries. One display window with a closed metal gate. The streets were empty. It was late in the evening. We looked through the window and I saw a Dali and Picasso piece for the first time.

When I got home, I spent two days thinking about how to translate that memory into a painting. At first, my piece was completely chaotic. Even the art gallery and the many bridges we crossed appeared in the painting. But I didn’t like it. What truly made that evening meaningful was that I wasn’t alone and the beautiful conversations that unfolded. I smeared the oil paint until almost nothing was recognizable anymore, except for us, the wind, the water, the moon, and the shadows.

All fine art prints are signed and limited to 200 copies per artwork.
